As a 100% privately owned Australian company, our Directors are passionate about the integrity of our business and our service for fellow Australians, as well as our New Zealand friends across the Tasman.
Arbiio's Directors have mandated privacy principles and policies with an absolute commitment to customer-first practices and processes, which means prioritising your interests instead of external interests.
Here is how we at Arbiio think about, and go about, keeping the interests of our customers at the forefront of everything we do...
We do not and will never sell, licence, sublicense, or share your identity or data, either directly or indirectly, with any third party. We are committed to being a service worth paying for, so that selling your data is not how we get paid.
"If you are not paying for a service, you are not the customer; you are the product being sold" - Andrew Lewis
We will never compromise on a business operating structure that puts at risk the preservation of privacy for our customers. This means our Directors will not list our company on the ASX, nor any other exchange, which often results in the prioritisation of shareholder returns over customer interests. This also means that we will never sell a controlling percentage of the company to private investors as long as we run it, ensuring that our customer-first policies remain intact and enforceable.
We fully comply with all data handling requirements as stipulated under Australian Consumer Law, ensuring that our practices meet the highest standards of customer protection.
All of our processes and activities are aligned with the Australian Privacy Act, guaranteeing that customer data is managed with the utmost respect for privacy and legal compliance
Unlike a typical Australian internet service provider, any customer data that is not required is discarded immediately. For any data required to provide you insights and stats, we discard this data after four weeks. For instance, when a website domain is visited by a customer, we immediately delete that visit data after it has been accepted or blocked according to that customer's Arbiio settings.
All customer information and any of their stored for up to four weeks is processed and stored only within Australian borders. This ensures that your data is protected by Australian laws and regulations, without exposure to any foreign territories' policies or requests, which provides an additional layer of security and privacy for our customers.
Techniques such as "EDNS Client Subnet" and "Query Name Minimisation" are just two of the ways we ensure that customer IP addresses are not exposed to other DNS servers around the world, which could put anonymity at risk. We use trusted processors like Stripe and Postmark to handle recurring payments and email communications securely.
We utilise anonymised insights regarding the use of our website and service, such as which features are used most and how long a user takes to complete setup. This anonymised data capture is facilitated by trusted analytics tools, solely for the purpose of improving our service and customer experience. It provides us insight into facets of our experience such as how long it takes you to change settings, and how many customers have which settings enabled. The data used to provide such insight does not contain any personally identifiable information and is handled in a manner that ensures customer privacy is fully protected.
